goodbye chedeng, goodbye dodong

people of tumana are still busy moving on with their lives after chedeng has left the country, while dodong is still currently spotted in batanes area.

this photo was taken in tumana river. a man was trying to catch fish, taking advantage while the water current in the river was still strong. this gave him the chance to get a good catch for today.

chedeng and dodong had killed two, while 53,000 people were affected.

opm welcomes updharmadown

dhar·ma \ˈdər-mə, ˈdär-\ noun :Hinduism : an individual's duty fulfilled by observance of custom or law

updharmadown
is the latest addition to filipino's line of talented indie rock bands. a 4-man band lead by armi millare on vocals, paul yap on bass, carlos tanada on guitars, and ean mayor on drums.

"oo" was their first cut from their 12-track album called, fragmented. it sounds fresh, cool, soulful, both sweet and strong, and very catchy lyrics yet not that easy to sing. no other local band has ever made this kind of tune before. that is why i've picked them to be featured in my side jukebox for the month of august. enjoy.

tayo na sa antipolo

antipolo hasn't really changed much, in my opinion. church looks newer because it is newly painted. but when i took a closer look at the church, its people, and its surroundings, i felt like this 10-year old kid again, walking hand-in-hand with his grandmother, with eyes so busy looking at interesting things around him, could hardly wait to leave the church so he could wonder around, and maybe buy things with money from the elderly women's purse.
