But of course, we still see a lot of nice and fun tourists.

Anonymous2, We're working on that. That's for the suggestion.

Anonymous3, I'm really sorry those happened to you. Anyway, I've tried to get this story to those tourists and no words were given yet. We still want them to say something so that it would be fair to everyone. We also want to hear their side and know why they behaved like that. thank you for your comment.Biyaheng Pinoynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31430792.post-67514845126015386702012-02-18T17:50:24.122+08:002012-02-18T17:50:24.122+08:00I,whose ancestry came from Tetep-an Sagada Mt. Pro...I,whose ancestry came from Tetep-an Sagada Mt. Province, a proud full-blood Igorota from Baguio City and a proud Sagadanian, would want to make a point on this thing. I grew up in Baguio and I'm ever proud of my father's hometown and I see to it that I go home at least 2x a year and everytime I go home, I go straight to Poblacion and spend a day or 2 at any Inn of my choice and mind you, tourists are not the only ones who are rude. My fellow Sagadanians are rude themselves. I have observed this for the past 6years I have been traveling to and fro to the beloved province of my beloved late father. I myself couldn't speak the local dialect but I must say I do understand and it doesn't make me less a Sagadanian but I was once told by my guide, when I had my cave connection, "banyaga sa sariling lupa" when I couldn't answer him in our dialect. out of the 8 Inns I have been into, only at Capuyan Inn/Igorot Inn that I was treated well and the rest upon hearing me speak the dialect commonly used in Baguio, I was not entertained immediately and it takes ages for them to entertain my simple requests like extra blanket or even deliver my order. I always make sure I have my morning coffee so I go around the place to have a nice cup of coffee but the case is same. It takes ages before my order delivered when in fact you can see the staffs in these coffee shops making "chismis" with each other and there's no effort being friendly at least and they talk to me as if I'm just a local who could understand everything that comes out of their mouth but I have observed that when a customer is colored(u know what I mean) they scramble to their feet to entertain them. The 3rd day I came back with my friend who's family commands respect, they were all kind and all smiling even at the store owner who didn't let me go because I lack 1PESO for the thing I bought. The worst is yet to come. I went to the so-called big falls and I was ordered to pay 500 peso guide fee. I lost control of myself. I didnt know I was yelling already at the woman incharge and the thing was she too was yelling telling me in the local dialect(I have to translate) " nu taga Sagada nga taga Baguio, agbayad". Fuck that!! I was so insulted. Not for myself but for my father. If I have to continue with my nasty encounter with my fellow Sagadanians, it wouldnt be too good for us. Despite all of these I'm still proud of my ancestry I'm still proud of my father's hometown. So, it would be bias if we would just pin point just to put the blame on some one. We have our own part why things had happened.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31430792.post-42152930282423674942012-02-18T15:56:18.874+08:002012-02-18T15:56:18.874+08:00would be good if a complaint be filed sa barangay...would be good if a complaint be filed sa barangay lupon o kaya sa pulis kayaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31430792.post-91309058520157809372012-02-15T02:08:28.382+08:002012-02-15T02:08:28.382+08:00Thanks for making this in English... When you have the time to analyze tourists in Sagada, it is obvious the majority of the most arrogant, prideful, and obnoxious tourists come from the Philippine lowlands... Manila and Baguio (included)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
