the central post office

located along the pasig river is the central post office building. from its grandeur staircase to its enormous pillars, it dwarfs all the buildings surrounding it. inspired by the greek-roman architecture, modern architects are still glorifying this living proof of art. stamp collection aficionados will find this place a haven for they can obtain the latest stamps here and it is one of the most familiar landmarks in manila.

note: did you know that the filipinas stamp collectors club organizes a free walking tour of the post office museum and other parts of manila every month?
