30 most affordable foods in marikina (part 2)

so without further ado, here is the 2nd part of this feature. we're featuring 10 more food places as part of our feature, 30 most affordable foods in marikina city. we hope that you will support these establishments as you support our website. you may click here to read the first part of this feature.
lunchbox beef tapa (p35) is the conventional type (fried beef, rice, and egg), but what's special about this place is that their foods are super affordable. they also serve sandwiches, ice shakes, and pastas. try their double dutch ice shake for only p10.  shoe avenue, infront of the municipal hall.  
sweet maddie's avenue adobong pusit (p75) is served with rice and soup; very tasty. i could not remember the last time i've enjoyed my squid. it is both tender and a little sweet. delightful. you should also try their fresh lumpia, for just P35. #42 general ordonez, marikina heights; 466-2789.

johnny's fried chicken lumpiang shanghai (p40) is served with hot fried rice and drinks. i think it is safe to say that "the fried of marikina" is marikina's pioneer in chicken business. their chicken served hot and crispy. quarter chicken is only P81. they're located at w paz st, sta. elena; 682-0553.

kaypee indian restaurant chole bhature (p100) is a robust meal, new and exciting. consists of bhatoora, classic fried bread with yoghurt, dipped in chole, a slightly sweet spicy sauce with garbanzo beans, with 17 herbs and spices. also try chicken biryari and rose lassi (p60). #14a gil fernando ave.; 0905-226-3535.
macky's eatery tokwa't baboy (p28) is made up of small crunchy liempo bits, tokwa, and sweet sour sauce to add its finishing touch. other specialties are goto, pancit palabok, and ginataan na bilo-bilo. opens mondays to saturdays, 630am-630pm. #244 jp rizal, sta elena, near san roque church; 584-5684.
qizia cafe bacon and cheese with pesto and tomatoes sandwich (p75) has a pleasant pesto smell prepared with fresh veggies and crispy bacon. bread, toasted just right. served with chips. perfectly enjoyed with their strawberry smoothie. they're located along katipunan avenue, concepcion dos; 489-0760.
bite resto bar cheesy sushi (p75) is another must-try in marikina. tired of your usual sushi? not challenging enough? sushi fans would surely love this. don't miss to try their tokwa at tuna (p100), crunchy and healthy. just add some wasabi, soy sauce, and calamansi. opens daily 4:30pm. #90 gil fernando ave.; 682-8603.
lovellitos inasal pak-pak (p65) is probably one of the tastiest chickens in marikina. pak-pak meal consists of 2-pc chicken wing and garlic rice for only P65. other specialties are paesang dalag, pusit lumot, and crispy hito. opens mon-sun 10am-10pm . #378 de guangco st. near san roque church; 382-3808.
pap's diner sizzling beef salpicao (p60) is a festive treat of tender meat mixed with garlic, mushroom, young corn, onions, green chili and red bell pepper, and splattered with special sauce. served with rice and drinks. visit this hot food spot at #39 bayan-bayanan, concepcion uno; 572-7918, 542-7841.
oggo and jullz grill oj'z chicken wings (p80) is specially prepared by chef wendell, fried tender chicken wings coated with special barbeque sauce, oozing with juiciness. it's the chicken with a different twist. presentation's very impressive. also available, oj'z red iced tea (p35). #727 jp rizal st, lamuan; 227-6869.

Chicken! how you continously amaze me :) I'm a true chicken lover, since birth. I can tell one chicken-mix from the other. And you can describe one's history in the way they prepare their chicken. Some make it spicy for them to be called western, some prepared it with just oil and salt to make it taste local, some grilled it for authenticity; some prepared it with flour and spices for it to be homey. Regardless how they'd become, still its the hands and the chicken's camaraderie that makes it special :)
