An Incident: Writing From The Lemon Pie House (Tagalog)

Reminder:  The letter that you are about to read was a letter I wrote for my good friend, Oly.  I was just telling him what happened tonight because it involved his friends and his friends' friends.   I found this letter to be very accurate and that is why I'm posting it in my blog.  We've decided that we should post the letter in Tagalog since I find it to be more effective.  If you would like to read this post in English, click here.  We encourage all our readers to comment on it this matter.  So if you are against business staff cruelty by stupid and arrogant tourists/guests, then you'd better sit and read my story.  Because this might happen to you or your loved ones.  This is a real story and I think you should take the time to read it.  Maraming salamat.

Hi Oly, sorry at ngayon lang ako nag-message sa iyo at sa ganitong situation mo pa ako madadatnan. Something happened here sa Lemon Pie House house na dapat mong malaman. Pumunta kasi dito yung dalawa mong friends na tumulong kasama ninyo last holy week. So tinanong ako ni Anna Fegi (not her real name) kung may tao sa loob. So, pinalagpas lang namin. Until they came back that night.

Bumalik yung friends mo that night with their friends kasama yung witch. So hindi naluto agad yung pagkain nila. I admitted naman about my mistake and that we had some misunderstanding about the order kaya nagkamali kami na isinorry ko naman sa friends mo at sa mga friends na kasama niya. Pati Coke with ICE??? So okay na kami sana. Dinuro-duro ba naman sabay sinigawan yung anak ng owner ng shop at yung friend ko ng "I will eat the two of you if you don't finish cooking the food in 5 minutes!"  Mantakin mo?

Kaya sinugod ko sila sa van nila sa labas at sinabi kong "Sorry po, alam namin na we've made a mistake and we've said we were sorry about that.  Pero it's no reason for you to treat my friends like that! You cannot tell my friends that you're going to eat them! We're working for them for free so technically, we're not their employees, so we can say anything we want. You cannot act like that kasi maling mali yan!"

Wala silang nasabi after I've said those words to them. Nung makita kong wala silang masabi sa akin, then I've decided to come back inside the shop.  Nag-sorry ako sa friends mo. I told them that I was sorry for talking to them like that pero hindi ako papayag na magsasalita sila ng ganon sa mga friends ko and just run away and get away with it. Hindi pwede sa akin iyon talaga. Tinitry idepensa ng friends mo ang mga friends nila pero we were so upset on how we were treated.

Anyway, I will blog about this sa blog ko and I will also share this story to the rest of the country para malaman nila kung gaano kababastos ang mga kasama ng friends mo. Your friend's friends are free to leave a comment sa Lemon Pie House blog and I will never delete their comments and I will answer every complaint that they will make. Besides, just like what i've told everyone before. We're just helping out sa shop. We're not getting paid. So technically, we're not their employees and we can say and do anything we want. I'm only venting out my frustration.

let it be known that in every business establishment, employees have the right to do their duties without threat from customers who demonstrate inappropriate behaviour..in line with these, such challenging situation only requires calm approach by simple telling arogant customers to leave the premises or rather ring the police on duty...

Grabe naman yang mga yan. Pinoy ba yang mga yan? I can't think that a Filipino can be that rude.

We Sagadans are a humble people. We give due respect to our fellowman and we assist those in need with what we have. Let this be a lesson to all tourists coming to our hometown. Please, the people in Sagada are trying to make a living by sharing what Sagada has to offer; don't be an ass, why not for this time, drop your ego and just simply respect and appreciate this peace loving town.

Anonymous, customers have the right to complaint but not in a harsh and hostile manner. We will get this issue straight to the people involved, and all abused business establishment employees will win on this.

Kaiz, Sad to say, mga Pinoy sila. I hope this will teach them a lesson that they will learn.

Blackman, yes, that makes those people nothing different from beasts. The reason I was welcomed with open arms in Sagada was because I was also respectful to the people and the culture. Thank you for your comment.

Excited to see your first child.

Cherrey, They were so demanding and so arrogant na inisip na lang namin na nababaliw sila.

Jizzy, You spell their names and you get the words WITCH and RUDE.

Dennis, Persona Non Grata nga dapat silang maideklara.

I pity those creatures, maybe they were just born (inire lang) then pinabayaan na sa mga yaya ng mga bisi-bisihan nilang mga magulang. tsk tsk tsk...kaya they seen to make things difficult for people that they meet who are perfect and living in peace (like the family of LPH and people of Sagada). And yes, baliw yung mga yun. Who knows, baka they are being tied in strait jackets pag umuuwi sila sa bahay nila, nakakaawa din naman :D Kaya pagpasa-Diyos mo na lang ang mga yan. I promise, you will earn justice without lifting a finger. I'm so proud of you bff.

just because you are a guest or a tourist doesn't mean that you are now a higher organism in the food chain, but by the look of it, by the way they acted, they don't even deserve to be called animals, hell if there is was a word to describe something that is lowest to the low, lower than planktons and $#!7...that would be it. it just goes to show how primitive and insolent they are.

be thankful that head hunting is not practiced anymore 'cause if it was, well they'd be the first on my list.

one way or another, their actions' consequences will soon return to them ten folds!!!(karma bitches!!!)
*just in case more costumers act this way, don't be afraid to speak your concern as long as you are right because no man has the right or even the privilege to act like an ass.

MATGOTAGO TAKO AM-IN...

Commenting in a harsh way is not a great help for this incident, teach them a lesson by inviting them again on our beloved hometown (show them the Igorot ettiquette)... Its a sad story though but we need to uplift our morale by not commenting in a barbaric way..
Invite them, dine with them with arabica cofi and pinikpikan..

Ke ginawa to towards Sagadians or not, they must be banned. Pero wait, there is more, maybe we can hear their side kung bakit ganun ang nangyari. I've known you shortly when I was in Sagada and you're uber nice and so is the pie and tea! I always enjoy going there. To be fair though, let's hear their side and I hope na matapos sya with everyone happy!

World peace...

OMG! i would say na may kaartehan rin ako when it comes to dining, but nilalagay ko naman sa lugar ang arte ko. we were in Sagada last January and nagpunta pa kame sa Lemon Pie House ng January 31 ata yun, service is good..we actually came back the next morning kaso closed pa..for those who were acting like animals, pambihira! magkaron naman kayo ng kahihiyan!, dito nga sa Makati, yun mga food chains, andami ng crew pero may mga times pa rin that you have to wait for your food, kahit pa most of them prepared na. sana naisip man lang nila na sa Sagada, yun mga food hindi naman katulad sa City na lulutuin na lang or ipa-pack na lang, they have to understand na pag order tsaka pa lang din pini-prepare yun food. another thing, if you really want to eat something special dapat you're willing to wait, and kung di makapaghintay, then just go and wag na magsalita against sa staff. "LESS TALK, LESS MISTAKE"

It doesn't matter where they are. They just need to learn how to respect others.

Bitoy, Sobra naman. Guests pa rin naman sila, pero after what they did, I don't think they will have the nerve to come to Sagada ever.

NMO74, Pasalamat ka at wala ka dito nung nangyari yun.

Vena, Yes, we can earn justice without lifting a finger. But I have my computer and my blog. :)

Margraff, if we were mean, yes, I would have done that. But we're not. Besides, they hit the door so fast, I was not able to tell them that. :)

Anonymous, This incident proves that customer is NOT always right.

Anonymous, I would have done that kung masama ang ugali namin but we don't want to put the business' name in jeopardy. I think telling them na masama ang ginawa nila would be enough.

Mots, Snob ka, promise. :)

Dongail, very well said.

Anonymous, We've been asking them to defend themselves, pero walang comment from them. I think that answers your question.

Pinoy666, Yes, puwede silang magalit as much as they want and they can anything they want but they don't have to be that rude and they're not even supposed to come inside the kitchen. They just went overboard and what they did what totally shocking.

Loraine, I'm also guilty for being a stupid customer, pero hindi ako umabot sa ganitong level. What they did was just so inexcusable.

Anonymous, No comment ako sa sinabi. Haha.

Hello! I was also with a group of friends when we visited lemon pie house 2 years ago.. I actually experienced a kinda bad slow and rude service.. not lang sure if they are the actual employees of the pie house.. pero hindi naman umabot sa ganyan ang reaction namin.. we talked about it and vent with each other then move on na.. We did not use our Media Connections even if can just to get even with the staff ng Lemon House Pie.. malamang its their pride which is talking..

For me over acting ang mga guests mu.. lets just put it this way.. they're just 5% of your total customers and the other 95% were happy with your service.. good batting average right?

And think about the effect of this to their families especially to the children (nephews and nieces) who will be most affected if this will be shown publicly in TV or in the newspapers...

Nakakahiya sila and I pity those people. It only shows na wala silang pinag-aralan at malaki ang problema nila sa mundo. And I would say they need a Professional PSYCHIATRIC HELP. Sana makarating sa kanila to.
